01.The Brief
Showcase how the Adidas EQT shoe revolutionizes design, elevates performance, and enhances athletic functionality to amplify training or competitive advantage, fostering brand loyalty and promote sales within the athletic community.
02.The Research
During the initial research stage of the project, we delve into the shoe's background, exploring its purpose, intended audience, and underlying motivations.
Then, we sift through various visual cues, drawing from historical references and external inspirations to craft a narrative that embodies the essence of the shoe. In this instance, we incorporated raw and gritty elements such as metal, vintage film aesthetics, high contrast imagery, and graffiti motifs.
Finally, we synthesize all gathered information, aligning it with the project brief to construct a compelling storyline for the commercial.
03.The Design
In the project's design phase, we initiate with pencil and paper, swiftly sketching out a rough storyline for the commercial. Once the outline is established, we proceed to iterate rapidly, focusing on refining typography and shoe placement within the frame. Ultimately, we create several still images depicting potential final frames, utilizing both rendered visuals and temporary photography.
04.The Animation
The animation phase of the project takes precedence, comprising a significant portion of the process. During this stage, we transition into Research and Development mode, focusing on refining movement and tackling any complex animations required for the commercial. Additionally, we commence the initial editing process, utilizing low-quality computer-generated imagery (CG) to assess movement and copy. Simultaneously, we work on finalizing textures for the shoe to enhance its visual appeal, alongside fine-tuning lighting, and environmental elements.
05.Chef's Kiss
Finally, we incorporate and execute any additional feedback provided by our client, ensuring that all their requirements are met. We also make any necessary final adjustments to the project to ensure its completion and satisfaction.
